Default Pork Butt On UDS?

Hello, just got done with the build. (Pictures soon) I'm doing a butt on Sunday to take to work. I have a offset that I love, but the UDS idea got me wanting to try it. My question is: Being that the butt will be over the heat, do I need to turn the butt, or set and forget?(how long on average, 10lbs butt) Do you folks foil? Any help/input would be great! Thanks!

You will get all kinds of answers! I used to flip every couple hours, now I just flip once about half way through. Mine usually take around 9-10 hours at 230-250*. I don't foil but many folks do. Just depends on your preference. What do you do with the offset? I would try it the same way keeping in mind the butt will likely be done faster due to the direct heat.

I don't foil, but was wondering if it would dry out being over the heat. I'm looking forward to doing some Q on UDS.

I flip @ 4 hrs and foil @ about 165. Takes about 9-10 hrs on the uds at 225deg. No unusable meat that way.
