Default Double Feature - Crowd Cow Unboxing - Reverse Sear Ribeye on Mini Weber Smokey Mountain

https://youtu.be/FTOhrnRDcAs

If you would like to jump directly to the cook and skip the unboxing jump to 6:40.

I ordered some beef online. First time ever but it looked really really good.

Pound for pound this is actually a little cheaper for me to purchase 100% grass fed and grass finished beef from Crowd Cow (averaged out to $11.50/lb) than in my local area (anywhere from $15/lb ~ $20/lb).

They also have cuts of meat that I simply can not get in my area. For instance, plate rib. I've asked around. Best option I was able to find locally was purchasing an entire side of cow rib for $200+ which I can't justify for just myself. It also wasn't grass fed and finished.

With Crowd Cow you can actually trace your steak back to the exact cow on the farm it came from.

The meat tasted awesome. You can see the ribeye that I make in the second half of the video. It was one of the most flavorful ribeye steaks I've ever had. They dry age their beef for around 2 weeks. Dry aged beef also sells for a premium on top of the grass fed option here in my local area.
