What a fantastic competition! We only had 10 teams but we ran a KCBS judges class and indroduced 16 new KCBS judges to the U.K. The teams were judged by a mixture of experienced (3 master judges) and new judges from 5 different countries. Another guy received his master status at our competition. There were thousands of public attended and we introduced dozens of people to the wonderful world of competition BBQ. We received fantastic support from Weber U.K. ETI thermapen True2bbq Owen Taylor meat and Ganda media all in aid of a great charity 'Help for Heroes which is the same as the U.S. 'Wounded Warriors'. Give it to God BBQ recorded a cooks church service for us and we played that to everyone on Sunday Morning. Our GC was BBQ Guru from Netherlands winning (I think) for the first time, and our RGC was Bunch of Swines from the U.K. who are experiencing a great run of form at present. We had new teams and cooks that also heard their name called so hopefully that will encourage them to compete again. Thanks to everyone who attended and also big thanks to the KCBS International outreach team for making it possible.
