Default 150 Gallon Build thread

Just brought home the tank yesterday.. along with a pretty good sized load of cherry wood. lol Have it tied like that because drove about 300 miles back home on the interstate lol. This build will be my dads personal smoker. Will be traditional offset no upright on a small homebuilt 4x6 or 4x8 trailer we are going to build ourselves. going to get started in June! will be posting updates once we get into it!

Looks like you are downsizing, looking forward to the build.

Subscribed. Tank looks like a smaller diameter but longer, but it could just be the optics. My 150 is 24 diameter by just over 72 long.

Since it is the same size let me know if you need me to measure anything. My firebox is a 24" cube and that is plenty but I've added more air inlets and upgraded to a 6" exhaust to get it to draw right.

Well turns out we are getting started a little sooner than I expected.. Here are pictures of the start of the trailer. We are just doing Firebox 24 square firebox 1/4 inch Jambo style opening, with grate level exhaust. This is our progress on the trailer so far its 2 inch tube 3/16ths thick. This is big for us first time Building an actual trailer
