I purchased an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn 3 in 1 Smoker Grill.
My first smoker.
I quickly discovered the .100 wall thickness lost a lot of heat when the weather was cold and the wind was blowing across it.

My solution was wrapping a welders blanket around it.
I was able to fold the blanket so I had a double layer of insulation.

Probably the best mod I ever, or will ever make.

The stability of temperature with the blanket solved a lot of issues I was having.

I wouldn't call the Ok Joe smoker high end or anything but having the wrap sure ups its usefulness.

Very nice! I did the same thing to the lid of my WSM-22. I was blown away by the charcoal savings. It probably uses 1/3 to 1/2 the charcoal it used before the mod.
