Some retail low tier stick burner lessons.

I purchased an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn 3 in 1 Smoker Grill.
My first smoker.
I quickly discovered the .100 wall thickness lost a lot of heat when the weather was cold and the wind was blowing across it.

My solution was wrapping a welders blanket around it.
I was able to fold the blanket so I had a double layer of insulation.

Probably the best mod I ever, or will ever make.

The stability of temperature with the blanket solved a lot of issues I was having.

I wouldn't call the Ok Joe smoker high end or anything but having the wrap sure ups its usefulness.

Mod to the smoke stack
Just sitting there, installed now.

latest gizmo to try for long cooks after the wood smoke is enough and just coal briquettes and lump will do the last part of the cook.
