Looking to buy some logs to be cut down into 8-10 x 2-3 inch splits. Planning on using
these splits in the ash pan as a smoke source. Will I get better results by cutting these ash pan splits from barkless logs or not? Read somewhere barkless would produce a better quality smoke. Mac

Never ever put logs or chunks of wood in your grill or smoker with bark on it!

Juuuuuuuust kiddin' :biggrin1:

It makes no difference Mac, buy it and chunk it up!

Smoke on!

I leave it on unless there's bugs or decay and it falls off on its own

4E3 - so much BS to cut through! Bark vs no Bark, left Brisket vs right brisket, etc! Mac
