Looking for some rubs for pork ribs & pork shoulder.
 
Both of these are good on pork & chicken


Blu's Pork Rub for the BBQ Challenged

  • 1 4 oz bottle Sweet Paprika
  • 1/2 a 4oz bottle Sugar( what ever kind you have)
  • 1/2 a 4 oz bottle of Kosher salt
  • 1 Teasp celery salt
  • 1 Teasp Granulated onion
  • 1 Teasp Granulated garlic
  • 1 Table sp Mrs Dash Lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (or to taste) Cayenne pepper
  • 1 Teasp Ginger
  • 1 Teasp mustard powder
BBQ Chicken Rub

Morton salt Co
Ingredients 4 Tbsp Morton ® Kosher Salt
1 Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp Paprika
1 Tbsp Chili Powder

Directions MIX all ingredients in a bowl.
RUB seasoning onto meat, 2-3 Tablespoons per pound of chicken or as desired.
BAKE, BROIL or GRILL as preferred.
STORE remaining rub mixture in airtight container.

Makes about ½

I've been using these lately. Can't exactly remember where I found them.
Bad Ass BBQ Rub


  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar in the raw
  • 1/2 c kosher salt ( start with 1/4 c and add if necessary)
  • 2 T celery salt
  • 2 T seasoned salt (low sodium)
  • 1/3 c Hungarian paprika (must be Hungarian)
  • 2 T Ancho chili powder
  • 4 t black pepper
  • 2 T cayenne ( night want to start with 1/2-1T depending on heat level)
  • 1 t granulated garlic
  • 1 t granulated onion
Finishing Rub. I grind everything in a spice grinder to get a fine texture.

  • 1/4 c smoked paprika (I subbed Hungarian paprika)
  • 1/4 c sweet paprika
  • 1/4 c sugar in the raw
  • 1/4 c kosher salt, ground
  • 2 T mustard powder
  • 1 T ancho chili powder
  • 1 T cumin
  • 1 t black pepper
  • 2 T granulated garlic
  • 1 t cayenne
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 4 t cinnamon
