I do love Frito chili pie. Looks super. I might add a diced onion and a little mustard my self. The beans - that’s the way to go!

16 what is your favorite frito pie recipe? Definitely on my favorite list. Any guidance would be appreciated...
Although I don’t follow a recipe per se, this pretty close “most of the time”
For instance I don’t use green bell but instead will use chopped roasted green Chile. No to tomato soup (too sweet) but a tomato sauce or a can of Rotel- sometime no extra tomato and use a Shiner.

For Frito Pie I prefer ground meat. I think the ground texture goes better with Fritos. Beans. A toss up. Usually not, but I enjoy it when I do.
Chili can be an emotional comfort food. Actually a powerful comfort food. There’s really no right nor wrong way imho. Buy the individual size Fritos, use scissors to cut long ways across the side, ladle in some chili and eat from the Fritos sack.
