It stood in the way of him and victory, and he is kinda large...

Clarification please:

1. Does it have to be cooked IN the can or can it just come from a can?

2. Do all ingredients need to come from a can? Or just the main one?

I'm torn between my desire to make a hobo stew or dig through the barn and see if I still have the coffee can backpacking stove to cook something spectacular on.

Like that spam and eggplant thing I keep mentioning... :tsk:

I've been locked up too long. This sounds like an inspired category. HOBO Stew is a great idea. I just finished seasoning my CI pot. I might get to play with another new toy.

I think it could be either, ingredients from a can,
or ingredients cooked in the can, like using a Hobo Can Cooker
to prepare the meal with.
I think that would open up (pun intended) all kinds
of delightful culinary possibilities.

Thank goodness he cleared that up. No way I was going to prepare food while in the can... :heh:

A feast for hobo kings!

I decided that if we were to have a feast, it would only be appropriate to have a 3 course meal!

For the entire cook thread:

Here are some of canned components that went into making the feast.

The appetizer course was humus topped Pringles with water chestnuts and double smoked oysters.

The main course was smoked hash, easy cheese, biscuit sandwich.

The dessert course was grilled pineapple sandwich with peanut butter and grilled bacon.

Here is the whole meal gathered together. (Please use either one of these for my entry.)

I have to say this is one of the best meals from a can I've ever had!
Thanks for looking!
