Default No signal in trailer

Anyone who uses an enclosed trailer for comps find difficulty in getting Bluetooth or cell signal when you’re inside? Last time I did a practice contest I noticed my Bluetooth thermometer would disconnect the second my door was closed and I would also lose all but the littlest cell signal. Just curious if anyone had a workaround for that or if it’s something I’ll just have to deal with. Thanks!

Aluminum Box trailers are giant Faraday Cages Leave a door or window open or put some kind of antenna outside.

Thanks, that’s what I was assuming especially when hooked up to electricity with the wires run around the trailer but wasn’t 100% sure.

I leave my cell propped up on the window sill in mine, you can be parked near a tower and it will lose voice and data connections when it's closed up with the heat or air running.
