For Mother's Day, the wife asked if we could take the sailboat out to one of the islands in the bay with our pup and just spend the day out there relaxing. Quick sidenote: God I love that woman!

For lunch, I cooked up some bacon and chicken on the Magma kettle grill and tossed some jalapeno/habanero cheese on top. There are some ceramic briquettes in it that distribute and hold heat pretty well, even in the 10mph wind we had yesterday.

Anyway, I thought I'd post this even though it's a departure from the "norm." Thanks for checking it out!

Looks like a great meal and a great way to spend the day!

Sounds like a great adventure, and looks like some great food.

Well done!

I sure do miss sailing now and then, and the good food that used to accompany a quick trip like that.

Yeah, that's hard to beat! Any fish to be caught where you were?

Oh yeah for sure. Where we were there's plenty of sea trout, redfish, snook and cobia.

Thanks everyone, for your kind words. We sure loved the day and I fully plan on doing the same for father's day. Maybe a little different menu this time :)
