3 forms of food contamination *complete*
There are basically three forms of food contamination.
One is chemical: These are things like cleaning solutions, food additives, pesticides, galvanized metal residues etc. Another is Biological: These are bacterias, viruses, parasites and molds. Lastly Physical: Hair, glass, metal shavings, dirt etc. The question is: Which of these poses the greatest threat to food safety? |

Answer: Bacteria
The greatest threat to food safety is bacteria.
There are 21 forms of bacteria listed that cause foodborne illness. Some of which cause diseases you probably have heard of: Salmonella Botulism Shigella Staphylococcal poisoning E-coli Hepatitis-A Many, many more. Some of these bacteria are formed when food is left in the "Danger zone" for too long. (coming soon) Some are caused by not washing hands after using the restroom. And even scarier is that some of these bacteria emit toxins during their growth, and heat will not distroy these toxins! We will go into some of the different types of bacteria and symptoms later. For now, just remember to wash those hands. Wash them between handling different foods. Wash them after using the restroom. Wash them everytime they are contaminated or you switch projects. Wash them after touching face, or any other body part. |

e. coli...wash your hand after the bathroom. Fecal oral contaminatino is very high. Guy before you goes to the head, wipes and doesn;t wash, touches door or wall or light switch. You go, wash, touch similar, then later eat something that has been touched with your contaminated hand and now the bacteria is in you. See it all the time. Very common...Scott

Not to mention after you finished your paperwork, you grabbed your pants at the beltline, pulled them up, maybe tucked in your shirt, buttoned, snapped, zipped, buckled the belt, and/or whatever, before you washed your hands. If you hitch up your pants on the way back to the table....
