Hey everybody!!! I'm sure this has been discussed before, but has anyone tried Best of the West Masters Selection lump from Sam's Club?? I'd like to know what you guys thought of it. Thanks!!!

I've used it. My problem is that it pops like a sprinkler on the 4th of July. I almost got an ember in the eye standing 6 feet away. Once the initial ignition has passed, it burns decently, but it is mesquite so careful with it possibly bruising delicate meats like poultry and fish. Price wise, it's hard to beat though!

Thanks for your input. I used it yesterday for 3 babybacks and some wings. I used a chimney and didn't get any sparking of popping. It had good flavor on both the ribs and the wings. I can live with it, especially for the price. Can't wait to try it on brisket.
