Default Meater vs Meatstick

Any one familiar with both? I finally got my Meater after waiting a few years from the original Kickstarter investment. Seems okay. Just saw a FaceBook ad for the Meatstick - visually almost identical. Guess the Chinese even steal from themselves?

There was a pretty long thread from a respected member in another forum I follow about the issues he had with his Meater Block and customer support from Meater (and the lack of response other than canned "try this" from customer service). Also it took them years past their projected Kickstarter delivery date to get the first units out to the public. I almost signed up in the first round of the Kickstarter, but after some of the stuff I've read since they came out (finally), I'm glad I didn't. Great concept, but lacking in execution IMO.

I don't know anything about the Meatstick, but it looks like a knockoff of the Meater, probably by the China factory who made the Meater. There are some good and bad reviews on Amazon.
