Default How does a Florida Brethren Bash sound?

I have been a member of this Great Site for four years now, and have watched several of the different Bash's take place. From what I have seen, a great time was had by all who attended and that includes those who traveled many miles to attend.
So, what I am proposing is a Florida Bash. Probably in the central part of the state. The Kissimmee area, or even the Apopka area; there are many good parks and lodging's in those areas for those Brethren coming to this Bash. Also considering the October time period when it is getting a little cooler, and Hurricane Season is about done.

I am going to see what type of response I get from this idea, and if it well received, then the planning will commence.
Give me a PM and lets get this Bash going!!!

Interested here! About a a 5 1/2 hour trip for us. Would depend on the date and whether we have any trips planned or not.

Always an 80% or better possibility for me. Set a date and I will start the planning.

I am glad to be getting such good responses about a Florida Bash, so I am going to start the investigation into a location. I think the weekend of the 16th - 17th would be a good time; far enough before the Holiday Season begins.
Thanks Brethren!!

Rick, those dates line up perfectly with my last vacation of the year, so if you can stick to those, then I can almost guarantee to be there.

And in looking at a map, Apopka would be closer for those coming from out of state.

Thanks Brethren!!
Sir Porkalot has already announced the Ohio bash for October 16. It is a 2nd annual event. I still haven't figured out how to be in 2 places at the same time.
Was hoping to make both the Ohio and Florida bashes, but not on the same weekend.

I can understand the problem that presents, Jet setting from Bash to Bash would be difficult at best; and, from the pictures I saw from John's last years Ohio Bash, I know the Brethren will have a great time there.
So if you can't make it to Florida, I completely understand. If this Florida Bash turns out good, I hope to make it an annual event also.
I guess we just have to coordinate the Bash dates a little better!
I decided on the date based on our weather patterns for that time of year. Usually, we start getting fronts moving through towards the end of the month, and then it becomes almost a weekly event.

The fall Texas Bash is usually in October as well. Maybe beginning of the month? That'll give people a multitude of Bashes to choose from that month.

Given the Ohio and Texas Fall Bash's are also going to be in October, I am trying to get those dates so we can better coordinate the Florida Bash and not conflict with them.
I will post a new date as soon as I can.
