Daughter getting married in a few weeks, headed up to Minne-snow-ta. Any suggestions? Que or non-que...

There is a BBQ place called "Market Bar-B-Que." A real traditional deal for 70+ years, originally located in the theater district and open very late, it was the after-show hangout for performers. The walls are plastered with autographed pictures -- I don't know how many but if someone told me 200 I would believe it. Go here: http://www.marketbbq.com/ and watch the short "Our Moving Story" video.

I have been enjoying their ribs for decades. After becoming a judge I now realize how unique the recipe is. Ribs are served dry with a couple of house sauces available on the table. Fries, coleslaw, and white bread complete the platters. ( I did sample their brisket one time and recall not being impressed.)

Sadly, last time we tried to eat there the dining room was closed due to inability to hire staff. Hopefully that will or has changed. So check before you go or plan to order takeout.
