Default Your next snack when you're Smoking or Grilling

G'Day Bruces

Been meaning to do this a while now. Being Keto for the last few years has taught me a few things. One great snack you can have is Pork Crackle and I've found that you can't beat doing it yourself. It's real easy.

Today I got some pork rind, some special spicy seasoning I use from Hong Kong for pork belly... and a cleaver.

Sliced it up fairly thin.

Tossed it in the seasoning.

Into the cottonseed oil over a butane camp stove @350F

Draining:

Repeat and Repeat:

The darker batch I added some paprika and ancho chili powder.

Really tasty and super crunchy. Give it a try fellas next time you have a big cook going!

Cheers! And thanks for looking!

Bill

Oh my that looks so good as well. I snack on pork rinds once and a while, and that looks like the best I've ever seen!

I also eat Keto / Low Carb for years now. I like that i can still it BBQ and have great blood sugar :) I just can't eat too much of the meat because over some hours that turns to sugar via gluconeogenesis.

Those look great, I've never tried making them that way. I've always done the boiled, scraped, dehydrated then fried version.
