These skewers are plenty available here so I just looped the ends into hooks for hanging in the drums. I hang beef, ground beef, pork, wings, sausages etc without any issues. I plan on doing Churrasco soon.
Thanks for the info, and great looking food!

New member here. I received a PBC this week for my birthday and am using it for the first time today to cook a slab of ribs. Been looking forward to this for a while. I'll try to post some photos later of how it turned out.

Long time no post. I like to separate the flat and point to cook separately. This is the saved point I had from last cook. Seasoned simply with salt and pepper.

Sliced up

Close up, which doesn't really do it justice. It came out great.

Wow 4 days without a post in the PBC thread. Does anyone use splits in the PBC, will it burn too hot? I know I've seen a couple pics of PBCs with wood in them.

Never whole splits. Just chunks. I think it would burn too hot. Even think I read a specific warning against burning splits. Have to look.

Can I use the PBC as a fire pit?

Absolutely NOT! The PBC is designed for the temperature at which standard briquets burn, anything else may burn too hot for the design and air flow.

Not sure this is definitive or not....

Just full splits and no charcoal? Or splits on top of charcoal?

My buddy used his as a straight fire pit with a bunch of splits in it while camping on numerous occasions. Nothing happened to it.
