Default Spare Ribs on the Stumps

Our local grocer had spare ribs for $1.99/lb and ended up buying eight racks. I cooked six racks yesterday for a party and two today for Bucs game. I seasoned the two today with hot chilli powder and Killer Hogs Hot rub.

I very simply cooked them at 225F for five hours and used hickory for smoke. I didn’t wrap them but did flip them meat side down during hour 3. No BBQ sauce was used during the cook.

The flavor profile was excellent and in summary I was very pleased with the final product. Here’s a few pictures for viewing and thanks for checking it out.

Stumps definitely takes a lot of the guess work out of the equation. Stumps and the pig get most of the credit…
