Default offset Rotisserie

hello folks
would there be any taste advantage of putting a rotisserie in the cook chamber of an offset smoker, still with the fire in the firebox

wheather it be a shelf rotisserie or a single axel rotisserie

I thought about it, laughed about it and forgot about it.

We have all seen the BIG trailer smokers with grill trays spinning around an axel. I can see the advantage on huge smoker types, where smoke needs alot of area to cover. But for smaller backyard types, a basket of coals or couple of sticks should provide plenty of smoke. I could be wrong, but Im a sucker for the gadget aisle too and talked myself out of getting a roti for the offset ;)

Rotissieres are for Over a Flame, Fire, Coals - so it cooks evenly. So bottom doesn’t cook faster.
