Default Hello, Thank You for the add, and Very Excited to be here

I'm hoping I found the right place for initial introductions. I'm Mike, aka Little Mike, the irony of which was funnier and made way more sense before I lost 150 pounds, but once a nickname sticks. Live in Illinois, married 22 years this September..most of them happily and, yes, to the same woman. Very proud father of 5 boys. One of whom is responsible for my love of cooking being expanded into the world of true BBQ. A year and half ago for my B-Day he found a used Brinkmann Vertical Trailblazer smoker in good shape and bought it for me. Hooked from the first smoke! Very much looking forward to expanding my knowledge and putting a lot more experience under my belt.

Welocme to the asylum, Mike!

Take a look around and if you have questions please feel free to contact the moderator team or our senior members. Their names are color coded so you can recognized them.

Also, each section of the forum has a description that you can use to figure out where to post.

Finally, please review our rules! They are pretty straight forward, but looking at them up front may help to eliminate problems later

Oh! Don't forget to add your name to the Brethren Map, located at the top of this Cattle Call forum.

Most important, have fun and join in our conversations and share and learn!

And... If you are up for a bit of a roadtrip a bunch of us are getting together for lunch on Saturday, January 26th. The details are in the link in my signature.

Welcome aboard Mike, glad to have you as a fellow Brethren here.

I hope to see you in the Q-Talk forum soon. You'll find help on almost every topic from cooking your first Pork Butt to curing and smoking your own ham and bacon.

If you can't find the topic you need help with, or have questions about, just start a new thread in "Q-Talk". There are many people with years of experience that are willing to answer your questions and guide you in the right direction.
