Thumbs up (About) 40 Clove Garlic Chicken Quarters

I've been wanting to do this for a long time and since there is a chicken quarters TD going down, the timing was perfect.

link to the TD: https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...d.php?t=274859

Started with two whole chickens. I like to process my meat myself. Saved the wings and the breasts for another cook.

Seasoned the quarters with S&P

Into my Lodge enameled DO for browning

After browning threw in the cloves of garlic

After cooking down a little pyrotechnic action. Flambe using a shot of cognac. This was pretty cool

Transferred onto the gasser to cook some more and added white wine to reduce first

After the chicken was cooked I added a little cream to the drippings for a sauce to top the chicken with

And served with taters

Crazy good and I will be cooking this again. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Marc! Had to correct my misquote from carne asada recipe thread and set the record straight that I love garlic.
