Need Advice: GURU or Something Else?

I've been happy with my heater meter though setup can be challenging.

So, I have to admit that while not wanting to admit to being anal (egad), I do love the idea of data. I'm happily avoiding the thought of what that says about my personality.

Thanks for the link to the Fireboard website. I like the unit but it looks as if I'd be running two: the temp probe (Fireboard) and the fan control (Guru), or the Guru by itself and add the temp monitoring system later if needed. Right now I have an inexpensive temp monitor with two probes, one used for ambient temps and one for meat. It has wifi but some limitations such as an alarm that can't be set for higher than 230 degrees (ambient temp).

Again, thanks to everyone for the input.

I have a Stoker and a Fireboard. I like the Stoker. I love the Fireboard. So much easier to get internet access to it.

Guru- Digi Q 2 a year and hlaf in has been solid. If you don't care about WiFi, it will save you some $$ over the cloud based ones.
