Red face Beef-love Basted, Reverse Seared Tomahawk.

The hubs has been wanting one of these silly things for a while so I thought I'd be nice and get him one.

I dry brined it for about an hour. Made some beef love and used my espresso steak rub.

Set up the new weber (using RO) in a mini snake with some hickory and cherry chunks.

Gently smoked until the IT hit 110. Pulled it to rest while I cranked up the gasser and seared this crazy thing off.

Tomahawks have the wow factor but are just uncircumcised ribeyes. If I was having a dinner party I'd be tempted to get a half rack and then cut the chops off at serving....but I'd have to get a bigger table lol

Thanks for lookin!

Don't forget: beef love will save the world!

Thanks y'all.
While it's tempting to go all primal and tear into it, I just sliced.
But I was running around the house chasing the hubs and dogs yelling "you've been tomahawked!"
Kinda like this:

Oh no. He doesn't touch my stuff. He just uses the gasser if I'm not around and he wants a hotdog or something.
