I've been using the Inkbird IBBQ-4T for about a year now. The dam app does not notify of an alarm trigger unless the phone is active and the app is open. It's been frustrating but never caught me out until this weekend.
I went to bed at 2am July 4th and at 4:15 am the brisket hit alarm target of 202. I didn't wake up until 5:50 am and opened the app to see brisket was at 208. Needless to say it was overdone and not near as juicy as it should have been.
I started my offest at 12pm July 3th so invested over 16 hrs of my time to have a subpar product.
