I’m really happy with the Sam’s Hardwood briquettes 40# for 16.99, but that may not be available to everyone. Just saw an Ace IG scroll where this is available. I have 4 doubles of Sam’s Briquettes with another single just opened.

I pop in to my ace from time to time. These aren’t available in store by me. Hopefully someone can get their hands on them and try them out. A nice review would be helpful also. My Sams doesn’t carry the big bag either. Just their crappy pellets.

I order bags of B&B from Ace for local pickup at the store. This same bag of Blues Hog is two dollars more where I live in the Pacific Northwest.

Still burning through my supply of Kingsford. Picked up four bags of B&B lump. I'm a ways off from trying the blues hog.

You ruined me Adams, been using B&B Lump exclusively since last March haven't purchased or use any other charcoal since.

I searched for the Sam's briquettes. Not available at my store, even to pick up or have shipped. Have to take a road trip to Memphis to buy them. I have 2 stops to make pretty much every time I go. Guess it will be 3 on the next trip.

Been using B&B only as well, saw the Blues Hog at my Ace, and was like...ooh. Then I saw the price... ( o_O)
I’m not paying $30 for one 20lb bag.
That’s 2 bags of B&B, no thanks.

My Academy has had the hickory, oak, and XL Chunks varieties of B&B lump up until recently when their supply became much more sporadic. Now they mainly have Oak lump only along with briquettes & other products from B&B.

Recently I saw that Lowes picked them up. Upon my most recent Lowes visit I saw the following:

It has the oak bag branding but says "mixed hardwoods" and "experts choice." I'm curious, but I have yet to purchase a bag. Kind of stocked up on other stuff.

This stuff was money though:

If the above stuff is anything like the Oak lump then I'm all in.

Great freaking brand. I'm so happy to support them. Their chunks and logs are nice for the money as well!

Couldn't agree more!

I stumbled across a bit of B&B oak lump a number of years back in CA at Walmart, but never saw it again. Best lump charcoal I've tried to date.

Now that I'm in TN, it's available at Academy so I can get my B&B fix. The large hardwood briquettes are also very good and burn nice and clean. I'll keep a lookout for the XL premium lump!

Trust me, it’s not because I need them, I just like trying new coals

Current Status
15 bags B&B lump (2 mesquite 13 Oak)
3 bags B&B Char Logs
1 bag Blues Hog Lump
1 bag Fogo lump
2 bags Jealous Devil lump
8 full bags Sam’s Hardwood Briquettes
2 open bags Sam’s briquettes

Just enjoy trying coals

Ditto buddy. I still deal chase, but these days I like to try new brands as well. Its slightly addictive like ya said. Some of the best lump is no-name brand you might never see again.

Impressive collection. If I didn't have water issues in my basement I'd keep more on hand. Found that out the hard way with a massive batch of sale charcoal that molded toward the end. Getting a more efficient smoker didn't help either.

Have 4 bags of Hickory right now because that's all Academy had in stock, sometimes it's just Oak or Mesquite, it all burns good to me with nice large pieces and not a lot of trash.
