Cool Cast Your Vote to Choose the Category for the May All Month SPECIAL Throwdown!

Of the numerous potential categories we discussed in the Throwdown Lounge:

Here’s the four potential choices we came up with:

On a Budget ($15 or less total for entire entry)
4 Ingredient Challenge (Details TBD)
Noob Showcase (Limited only to those who have only entered 5 Throwdowns or less)
All Month Cinco de Mayo Feast (Cook anything Mexican)

The finalist will be announced Monday, April 26th, and the Throwdown begins on Friday, April 30th!!

How about a Mexican themed MSU challenge for newbies with a $15 budget? :)

MSU = make stuff up, usually on the spot, as popularized here by 16Adams.

In this case, you would be given a list of ingredients and have to choose 4-5 of them with which you would create something from. We've done it before:

I like the idea of a Noob TD. Maybe we can get more interested in TDs

We haven't done one since 2017, George, so I agree!

A number of noobs became regular and semi regular Throwdown participants because of these, plus it gives the regulars a break.

Not that I'm partial or anything to the outcome...

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been that long. I agree though, it’s a good way to encourage more people to try it.

Yep, I voted Noob too. Let's see some new Brethren get into the TD's.

I was a little intimidated in my first few TDs. Then a Noob TD came along and I've been in ever since.

Noobs are inching closer! They deserve their own throwdown! Give the regulars a break in May!
