There are many wonderful places, but when I visit the in-laws, my first on the list is the Cafe du Monde for Beignets. I just can't stop eating them.

Been over ten years for me but Commander's Palace (I'm poor so have only had the lunch special with their 25 cent martinis), Camelia Grill and Cafe du Monde (used to be a place next door where we'd get pralines) are three favorites.

Deanie's Seafood
Napolean House (get a Pimm's cup with your food)
Kingfish (pork nacho's and shrimp risotto)
Bar Marilou
Mr. B's Bistro (bbq shrimp)

I would spend some time on the phone before going down there just to make inquiries as to whether they are still open. So many have shuttered in the past year.

Good luck, can't wait to hear about your trip!

Pascal’s Manale For bbq shrimp. FYI they have or have had restrictions. They’re listed in the link. Guessing if they do others do as well, that’s just an assumption but if you have your hearts set on a particular restaurant better to be prepared
