I really, really wanted to join in this throwdown, but Noooooo! Let me tell you about the sad state of brisket in Vicksburg, MS. One store had Choice for $3.99. One store had CAB for $5.99. Kroger had flats only for $6.99. Good ole Wally World had a vast selection of selects, though. By vast I mean 2. One had a flat about an inch thick...at the point! It tapered down to less than half an inch at the end. The second had a nice flat, but it wasn't very bendy, like Viagra stiff. Plus, it had gross looking brown wrinkly stuff on the edges.
So, I had to ask myself, " Is it really worth $50 to prove to these Knuckleheads that you are the greatest BBQ chef in the galaxy? Nah! "
