What's the closest smoker/pit that is available today that compares to a jedmaster.

You're really all over the place with types of smokers that you're looking into. haha

I don't know much about the Jedmaster but I do believe they were popular because they were rotisserie style smokers, which used propane and wood logs for temp and smoke...though I could be wrong?

You should check out American BBQ systems and some of their smokers as it might fit the bill.

You can also check out Oyler pits, though I'm not sure you want to invest that kind of money.

Of course there's Ole Hickory and Southern Pride as well. I was very close to buying the Ole Hickory CTO-DW, but it was just a bit too expensive for what I was doing at the time.

I am sort of. :) I might want to my next choice up a few notches. I also never knew much about a Jedmaster when they were around and there's not to much info on them now.

Seriously you might want to consider the Ole Hickory CTO-DW...it's a NSF cooker so this will allow you to "roam" as your cooker will be fully capable of being permitted anywhere. It's a HUGE cooker in terms of capacity, it can run on charcoal / wood, with propane assist.

It is also small enough that it can fit on a moderately sized trailer. Definitely worth looking into. Great video here of Malcom Reed smoking a whole pig on it which gives a solid perspective of the size and capacity of this cooker.

Good luck buddy!
