Barrel needs no seasoning! Cook right away. Literally from box to cooking in under an hour.

I know but you never know what kinda oil and stuff got on it during manufacturing. It's been going about an hour and staying around 270 think I'm going to like this thing. To be honest I was out of town and didn't have anything to cook so I fired it up just to see how it does lol.

Here's a pic of my turkey from the other week. I also did baby backs this weekend that were to die for. I love my PBC!

Really glad I burned mine out before adding meat...Learned a lot and probably would have ruined the first batch. Now its full speed ahead!

That looks awesome Bob! After last Thanksgiving's smoke, I'll never bake a turkey ever again that's for sure.

The PBC cover is a very snug fit. I've had mine for 2 years and it's held up with the rain and snow we get here.

Read it was of a better quality by some reviewers...I only like to buy things once so figured an extra few bucks would be worth it. Plus its vented so less chance of mold.

These are great covers and especially for the money and fit the PBC perfect. Not waterproof but the PBC is enameled so not a big deal.

I don't even use a cover on the PBC anymore
