Hatch chile sighting in SoCal!

I walked into my local Sprouts yesterday, and asked the manager when they were getting Hatches in (Ralph's already had theirs thanks to Frieda's produce).

He said, "I've got them in back. You want them medium, hot, or extra hot?"

So, I have some extra hots to roast tonight.

Our local Albertsons is having a roasting day this Saturday. Last year all they had were X-Hots and no on e in my family could eat them. Hottest Hatch chiles I have ever eaten.

In Albertsons here in AZ last week and Sprouts went out today. Making green chili for work already from them. This batch seemed tame, it was not labeled anything other than hatch. Last year got ahold of some screamers that were pretty violently hot for Hatch or Habanero .....
