I have seen the black fruit the last 7 years...

descent amount of wood!

Assuming the vine is poison ivey...

I can't be sure, but the vine does look like poison ivy. Be sure you get rid of all traces of it, including any little tedrils and hairs that might be hanging on to the wood. You don't want to mess around with inhaling or eating poison ivy smoke.

But nice score on the mulberry. I've never gotten my hands on any.

I will use the inner wood.. Living in the city is weird for me... These people dont really know what they are throwing at the curb!

Go easy at first, there is a sweetness to the smoke that can be overpowering.

I always wondered if mulberry wood is good for smoking. Somehow have a couple volunteer ones show up that I kind of just “let go” until they get a little bigger.

I like mulberry if it's properly seasoned, it's a sweet mellow, smoke somewhat on the lighter side like apple or cherry. But it burns really hot, so you may have to adjust smoker for the higher heat it produces.

I have two neighbors with mulberry trees. They trim them back twice a year. If we remember, I get free wood. I dry it for at least 6 months. I used it green once. NOT good.

You need to experiment with it, so you don't overpower your meat.
