Talking You're All Invited to The 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash on 3-21-2020

You are all invited to The 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash!!
Saturday March 21, 2020.
I'll be there getting the Shirley set up around 8:00am.
The Bash typically goes to about 6:00pm or later.

It will be at:

Ray Roberts Lake State Park (Texas State Park entrance fee is $7.00 per adult. Exact change recommended)
Isle du Bois Unit, Group Picnic Pavilion 2
100 P W 4137 (Off of FM 455)
Pilot Point, TX 76258

It’s a great location with nice facilities and easy in and out.
We have rented the large Pavilion with quite a few picnic tables.
There are onsite restrooms, running water at the hose bib along with 120 VAC at the Pavilion.
Please bring your camp chairs and a cooler with your favorite beverages adult or not!

If you would like to bring a cooker that's great.
If not, we should have space on a cooker somewhere if you want to bring something to cook.
And if you just want to hang out, have a few beverages and partake in some great food and Q, well that's OK too.

So just click on the sign-up sheet "LINK", below in my signature, and let us know who's coming please.
It's that simple!

We will be there pretty much all day. Any questions just let us know.
I am local and can answer pretty much any question about the area.
Just send me a PM or post it here.
There is a local camp ground within the Park area if you would like to bring an RV or pitch a tent.
I would recommend getting a reservation ASAP!

https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/ray-roberts-lake
So, please go ahead and sign up today.

Hope to see you at The 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash!
Thanks,
Hotch and Shelly

I found two on the Google, but one is all booked up and the other isn't open. Looks to be seasonal. Probably stay on Denton if I can make it down.

Maybe another place off the radar. I'll check with Jay.

I grew up (early childhood in Denton). It is a pretty easy drive from Denton. Denton has grown to be a pretty big town so, anyone needing a hotel shouldn't have much trouble finding a hotel in Denton unless there is some big event I'm not aware of.

Here is some general information I put together.

As far as Hotels go:

1) Lone Star Lodge & Marina - (As of 1/7/2020, they are booked for a wedding on Friday night, 3/20/20, but have rooms for Saturday night, 3/21/20. As of 2 weeks before 3/20/20, they will open it back up to the public, and if any rooms are then available for Friday, 3/20/20, you can get them at that time.)

2) Four Horsemen Travel Lodge - (As of 1/7/2020, they have rooms for both 3/20/20 and 3/21/20.)

Contact information for these hotels is on the attached General Info sheet.

We stayed at the 4 Horsemen in the past. Clean rooms and everything worked. Not the Ritz.

Mike: I think that you, me, Richard, and Austin are going to stay at Austin's inlaws farmhouse for free this time.

The 4 Horsemen was not bad. Clean room, beds, crapper, and a shower - all you need.

Inkbird has been kind enough to donate an IBT-6XS for us to give away at the bash in March. Huge thanks to Oksana for the donation. I should receive the package later this week. https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...=1#post4261775
