Exactly! I had no issues with the maverick except for programming it. Never used it enough to become proficient at set up. Found a smoke open box deal and super happy with it. I don't even need the instructions for set up!

I feel your pain Pat! Does it really need to be that complicated!

Well, it has long been known that Mavrick's tend to have a mind of their own.
Ask any Cowboy....

I use ThermoPro and Inkbirds 'round yer.
That is, when I use a thermometer.

I usually fly by the seat of my pants.
But I found that sometimes burns my butt where a grill is involved.... :icon_blush:
A man's got to watch where he sits.

I just dealt with my counting scale for a bunch of fishing anchor eyes I got yesterday.
I was pissed when I was forced to read the damned instructions.
 
Meater

I have finally learned the secrets to using Meater Block. It is so nice to not have those filthy wires . I love going to the grocery and looking at my iPhone to see if cook is working.
Uses 4 triple A batteries every 50 hours of use. Batteries always quit at wrong time. Wouldn't trade it for a bunch of Mavericks.

NO Cheater

I have a brisket and 2 racks of baby backs on my WSM 22. I am reading the Forum and playing poker (INTERNET TYPE) while the smoke goes on. It ain't no cheater.
