Moberg making moves to reduce wait times. Should be under a year now. Why wait 3+ years for a Shirley?

Shirley does more than just cookers. They built a bigger shop and hired a little more help but i think the orders increased. It ain't their fault.
I am glad to see Moberg having success though as long as they don't sacrifice their quality.

I like the Moberg smokers. I've followed them on instagram for a while now. But after looking at their website and seeing all their instagram posts they don't offer near the selection as Shirley Fab. Not sure why you want to try and throw shade on Paul because someone else has a shorter wait time.

not sure why the shirley comment was necessary. im a huge moberg fan and if i were spending big money on an offset, that would be the choice no question.

has nothing to do with shirley though.

I personally prefer Moberg to Shirley but if it was the other way around, I’d have no problem waiting 3 years for a Shirley. These are all top notch pits built by true artists. A wait of a few years is nothing compared to the lifetime of satisfaction you’ll receive by getting the exact pit you wanted.

you may not be totally clued in on the Shirley wait time... I happen to be a Shirley..... I go by the name of Paul.... my wait time is not near three years.... Tyler is booked out a lot longer than me.... but is also telling his customers it might be as early as three moths sooner..... I booked builds that start out as patio models and as time goes on it winds up with a roof system and a huge trailer.... please do not think I am mad.... people speak without knowing the the whole truth.... we have a ton of customers that do not mind waiting for various reasons.......why wait for a Shirley??? I ask myself the same question.... but I just keep getting deposits every week.... must be doing something right..... as are many other builders.... and as Texas Pete said.... I assure you cookers is not all we do.... we hoe.... pick... and Plow in Tuscaloosa Alabama.....furthermore we must be doing something right... this is why... a lot of folks are copying our designs....going to hard to mimic our quality..... but I am very aware there are some awesome pit builders out there..... Moberg is one of them.... they build a great pit no doubt about it

You guys make some beautiful stuff! Definitely on my list of the best pit makers out there.

All I know is everything coming out of Tuscaloosa is worth the wait, and the stuff coming out of dripping springs seems to be as well. I would imagine both Paul and Sunny would have nothing but the utmost respect for one another’s craftsmanship and understanding of one another’s workload.

Ahhh...yes. I know who you are. I became aware of you on January 7th when the only sound coming out of Tuscaloosa, AL was the sound of angle grinders at Shirley Fab and faint sounds of weeping Alabama fans in the distance. LOL.

This doesnt really seem to be a thread becoming of the brethren.

Tribalism....ugh. It seems to permiate every other facet of my life, does it have to happen to BBQ too?

I have a Shirley....love it. Would also like a Texas style top flow someday too

/resume poo flinging

/poo flinging is fun- but can be messy if too many people are involved.

The post might have been better if it had left out any mention of Shirley and had just stayed with with the very positive message that Moberg was reducing wait times for their fine line of smokers.

I want a "Baby Moberg" of my very own. No way in hell it's gonna happen- but still

Weak sad trolls be trolling. It's all they have really and pretty cute when they put their sassy panties on to talk smack. Just pat them on the head and say "there there". You can't really argue or discuss with then because all their "brains" know is how to start unnecessary arguments while posting in their my little pony jammies from the couch being a keyboard warrior :clap2:.

Glad we could all give him some food. What else does he have really??
