Default Recipe: Candied Cole Slaw

Are you tired of your normal Cole Slaw?

I've been looking for a "Different" Cole Slaw recipe and came up with this.

Can be served as a side, or as my wife says, "This can be dessert"!

Try it, I think you will like it.

Measurements are approximate:
1 1/2 Cup Mayo
2-3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 Can Crushed Pineapple
2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
Salt and Pepper

Add all the above ingredients to make your dressing. Pour over Shredded Cabbage.

Topping:
2 Cups Sliced Almonds Lightly Covered with Brown Sugar and Toasted for
a Few Minutes in a 300 Degree Oven.

Sprinkle Toasted Almond Mixture over the top.
Chill for at least two hours. The longer this sets up, the sweeter it gets!

That does sound tasty TB.

A little apple butter might be a nice addition too...

Don't confuse people. Not all readers are familiar with my Apple Butter experience. Apple Butter is the devil. At least the store bought type. It's nasty, and NOT to be added to this tasty recipe.

Bump because this sounds too good (without the apple butter) to be on the second page.

I hope some of you try it. It's so easy...and so different. I'm not a fan of sour cole slaw myself.

Shameless bump mod.....
