Default First time using the mini-WSM

Camping the weekend and decided to bring the mini with us. Smoking a 8.5 lbs butt and a couple pounds of wings for lunch on top. She seems to be hiding a pretty steady 235 at the moment even with some pretty stiff winds. My only regret is the I forgot to bring a probe thermometer with me, so I am going to have to go old school and go by feel. Luckily, the butt is bone-in, so that'll be a good indicator for when to pull.

It's actually a modified tamale pot. There are a ton of tutorials online for making these little guys.

My mini was my first smoker... still have it - still use it- still does a bang up job on anything that will fit in it. Bigger ain't ways better... sometimes it's just "bigger"
