Thanks George. All I need to remember is carryover cooking. The graph showed in OP. I pulled it at 145*F but it carried over to 153*F. Plan on giving it another try soon but this one was pretty darn good too.

The thermometer works great, and has really helped out BBQ out. The app has a tendency to freeze up during long cooks, that can get a little aggravating. I looked online for info on it and saw quite a few people griping about it. They say they lose all their graph info when they finally get it unstuck. I haven't used the graph function so it doesn't really bother me all that much.

That sounds like it's temporarily loosing BT connection. Which model do you have?

Thanks for the great review and great looking steak, too!
In my typical fashion, I ordered one this morning and then came here looking for reviews.

Received mine. Downloaded App easily. Went to store and bought a large brisket point. Seldom see the point by itself, not unheard of around here- just not often. Will cook in next few days.

Here's a review of that unit I did awhile back. Really like that one too. Anyone with a large pit can put it to good use.

I got approx. 100 ft. line of sight and approx. 85 feet through an exterior wall and two interior walls with the IBT-6XS. hogaboomer. My unit was placed on a table away from the grill being used. Hope this helps of course everyone's results will vary.
