Default CI Philly Cheese in the 505 (w/ Pr0n)!

Came home from watching Dune in an IMAX theater last night (first movie theater experience since Dec 2015!), and flipped on YouTube. Found myself watching Philly Cheesesteak Ops at Jim's South in Philly. Drooled all over the keyboard.

Sautéed some onions in a bit of bacon fat and salt.

Broke out some Carne Picada... bit of garlic powder... onion powder... Lawry's... browned it up until a little char/caramelization on the edges.

Girls came home from youth soccer.

Threw down some meat... added quick drizzle of bacon fat... added onions... sizzle sizzle.

Added American cheese and gave it some time to melt.

Heated up the sub roll... very light schmear of Duke's mayo... fold it all in.

I like mine with a bit of bite... so I added some sambal olek to the top of the sub roll. Folded it all in.

Yes, please!

Soon as we finish watching Wake Forest put a hurting on Army, I think it's nap time for this household.

Y'all be safe and have a great weekend!

I am a cheese steak fanatic, and you passed it on because now you have me drooling! I wouldn't make it to the end of the football game before needing my nap after a meal like that. Great job!

Your cheesesteak looks delicious!

Jim’s is one of the better cheese steaks in the city. I had one from Jim’s a few weeks ago.

Great looking sandwich! Been a while since I’ve had one. Might be time to rectify that.
