First cook on LSG 24x36 horizontal offset cabinet
My new cooker was delivered last Thursday, just in time for the Labor Day weekend. I seasoned her up on Friday, and set my alarm for 2:30 AM Saturday to get started cookin'. I was so excited to cook on it I made enough food to feed an army, but only invited a handful of close friends over in case things went badly. This pit is so easy to cook on, I should have invited everyone I know! Good thing we have a foodsaver!
This thread would be worthless without pics, right? So here you are: Meat Haul: 2:45 AM Fire: Kosher salt & black pepper: St. Louis from Costco required almost no trimming: Soon-to-be PBBE's: Brisket, ribs, pork belly cubes: Everybody's wrapped and some beans came to the party: Finished PBBE's: Finished sad-shark-face brisket: Simply, simply lovely: |

Great choice! I love my LSG!
I looked at that model but decided to go with one of their insulated vertical cabinets instead. |

Looks fantastic, but that smoker looks awfully lonely on the patio!

I'd agree, except that's the driveway. I'd rather use the cooker on the patio but it's up that hill you see in the pic. I keep the pit in the garage, don't want to push it up a hill every time I use it.
