Looks very nicely put together and the added flair from the plate is a good touch. I love to make carne asada tacos and the wife looks forward to it just as much. This is a thing I picked up from 10 years in Southern California.
Thanks for sharing the pics. I see Carne Asada in my near future.

Hey DH. Ever create your own marinade for the meat?

Terry,
Why yes I have. I use a recipe that is a combination of Tyler Florence’s and one from Allrecipes.com. Like a lot of my recipes, I take what I like from others and combine it into something I believe I'll like. I've posted a couple of these cooks and I've included the links below. The first one includes the recipe and is using flap meat much like you'd get on a taco cart. (It was very good) The second one I sprung for flank steak and it was delicious. Of course the flank steak was twice the price so you'd need to be the judge as to if it's worth this added cost. But if you're looking to impress someone then go with the flank steak or skirt steak. http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=227459 http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=227505 Hope you like it.
