I haven't tried Crown's, but I have tried Wild Turkey Longbrach, which is their mesquite aged version. I couldn't tell much difference. A little smokier. IMO, it is just a gimmick to ride along with the success of the BBQ movement. By no means, am I saying it is bad, but nothing ground breaking. Perhaps Crown's is different.

Just tried it last night at a party. It tastes like CR trying to be a scotch. Not bad.
