I'm extremely happy with this build. The temps after 3 hours are rock steady. Seasoning it with a pork shoulder for the State game tonight.

May add a second intake as I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the single ball valve. Maybe with will change but at this time I have to use the Weber intake as well to get the temps up. I'd prefer a second ball valve I think. Not sure if there are any other changes but I'm overall extremely happy.

Very nice looking and gravity defying as well!

Ribs came out awesome. Temp swings are a bit large if I just use one ball valve for over 230. So I'm probably adding a second ball valve.

Temp swings don't exist on mine unless I open the lid. Are you not using the built in intake at all?

Trying to figure it out. If I just used the Weber vent it would probably work perfect until it gets clogged. Maybe I'll do the can mod for it. Otherwise I'm debating just adding a second ball valve or adding a 1" instead of 3/4".

you get enough air flow through that single ball valve? I've been wanting to make of of these, but the single bottom vent has kept me from pulling the trigger.

i guess you would need a way to measure the built-in intake and try to match that to a ball valve size.

The single 3/4" ball valve is more than adequate for 220-240. But it does not have enough to run 275-300 and it's not precise feeling running two separate controls. I can dial it in but then when the ash clogs the bottom vent it wants to drop low again. So I feel a 1" would likely get close to what I want or more. Otherwise I'll do a nipple with cap and call it a day.
