Having some people over this afternoon so I decided to cook couple of chuckies. I have done one or two in the past but was never really happy with them so I decided to try them again and to feed it to company. That way if this is anther dumpster fire they can help finish it off.

Here are the players for today

Just put the chuckies on to the Akorn. Now to sit back and watch the smoke roll for a little while.

Look like a good start. Are you going pulled or sliced on these

I'm most likely going to pull them. My company is coming over around noon so I am thinking I will actually have to finish these off in the oven but I will make that decision a little later when it comes time to wrap. I'm cooking these around 275-300.

Nice start to a Sunday.

Not bad so far. It is suppose to get up to about 60 here today so it is a little cool out right now. I'd have to say we are in the low 40s right now but it is great seeing the sun out. We have had nothing but rain on and off around here for what seems like forever.

Nice way to spend a Sunday morning. Looks good so far. Hope you like the way they turn out. I love pulled chuck.

Well things have finially calmed down here enough that I can finish my post.

The chuckies turned out better than I was expectingl. We ended up making a sandwich topped with caramelized onions, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and a mayo dressing. Also made a creamed corn casserole that had jalapenos and cream cheese in it.
