Default Weekend Cooking

Actually started Thursday night with two types of bologna

On the 26 indirect

About 40 mins

Served with mashed taters. Both were good but veal was the clear winner.

Then came Friday. Hadn't been at the cabin in over a month easy. Took the day off from work and headed up. Had a little bit of work up there so I wanted to do something easy;

A surf and turf burger starting with shrimp

80/20

Some wings also

Toasted brioche buns, artisan lettuce, pepper jack

Cocktail sauce

Really proud of this burger as I've done it before and absolutely love it

Served with tater tots, steak cut fries, wings and bbq chips. Yes! I was hungry

Just how I like it

Come Saturday my folks called me up. My uncle happened to be visiting them so I said why don't you all come up??? Of course they did. Told them to pick up a few things on their way up

Lamb chops

Picanha

I cubed them up for kabobs I like playing with my food if you haven't noticed it yet

Seasoned them up

Put my old man on grill duty to grill some veggies

Lamb chops, ground beef, beef liver and picanha kabobs

Pichanha kabobs were done first

Won't be the last time I do 'em this way

Meat-O-Rama

Some good tunes after

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend. Thanks for looking!

This post makes me happy. What a wonderful weekend you must have had. Great food and some good quality time with the folks and uncle. That's what it's all about

With your cooking skills there is no roughing it, is there? Very well done.

PS - your burger ideas/cooks are going to be the death of me. Oh well, at least I'll die happy.

There was certainly no "roughing it" at that cabin. Everything looked amazing and happy to see that you all had a great time.

I haven't seen one of your cooks in a while, Sako - so it was great to see you return in top form, as always!
