Default Smokey Stroganoff, mmm mmm good! PRON

The wife wanted Beef Stroganoff, the store had London Broil on sale, and the boys wanted something smoked... I can be accomidating upon occasion.

So I grilled the LB's indirect with Pecan for smoke for about 75 minutes, then brought them in and cubed the meat in about 1" pieces. I made a base from packaged McCormick's Brown Gravy Mix & 5-6 cups of water, threw in a couple tbsp. of Big Brother Smoke's Simply Marvelous Sweet and Spicy Rub and some minced onion, garlic, a tsp. of Montreal Steak by McCormick, some Todd's Dirt just because and some seasoned salt. Put all of that and the meat in the crock pot and put it on high for about 4 hours, mixed in some Sour Cream and set the heat on low for another 1.5 hours. I made a rue of butter and flour to thicken the liquid, used "No Yokes" noodles (gotta watch the cholesterol, lol) then let that simmer another 45 miinutes. It ended up tender as you could want, and full of flavor with just a hint of smoke, or maybe a little more than a hint... Green beans on the side and called it a meal.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping in...

Looks sorta bland in that fourth pic - like it needs some seasoning Really good looking sauce - guess it tasted as good as it looks.
