Default Kingsford pro rancher

Hey everyone I just purchased this Kingsford Pro Rancher and it seems to be well made. The bottom of the firebox seems to be a little thin, if that makes sense and one review stated it. Well my question is can I place a plate inside the bottom of the box to sure it up? Will that help?

Absolutely. Firebrick works too if you can spare 1-2" of height in your firebox.

Had an old offset new braunfel that had a curved piece of sheet metal as an extra "guard" in the bottom of the firebox, so yes.
