After a long 12 hour drive to Tuscaloosa and two month wait (rub) my wife and I arrived in Tuscaloosa, AL. with a trailer in tow. Paul, Tyler, and his family were very friendly and welcoming. I knew from the first phone call with Paul that he was a true gentlemen and would run an outstanding business. He answered every question and every request in a very timely manner if not right away. I added two things to my smoker four days before my deadline and he still pulled it off. (Added basket underneath and the dolly system for move ability). My wife and I when we arrived in Tusc. With my friends trailer were in my bit of a bind. I didn't want to drive around downtown with a trailer but i sure wasn't going to leave it unhitched at the hotel we stayed in. Paul graciously allowed us to come by a day early to see the smoker, meet the family and leave the hitch at his house while we went off to explore Tuscaloosa. It was perfect, we walked around the campus and ate some great bbq and man that University of AL is huge! Back to the smoker, Paul and Tyler caught every little detail I was expecting, grease fittings on the he hinges, heat shields by the tires next to the fire box, cool touch handles on everything, sub framed firebox, gasket on the cooking chamber, and a deflector inside the cooking chamber door to prevent grease and water condensation from dripping down the front of this beauty. Some of these extra details are more money but they are worth it. Pricing for my smoker was a lot better than those of comparable models from other makers, every pit is custom so prices vary its best to ask Paul the cost. I wish this thing wasn't built so well, because unfortantly I'm not sure ill meed another for a long time, it is that well built. I would gladly have paid more. I cannot explain the craftsmen ship but I will let the pictures do the talking. She is seasoning now and when the sun is out I will take more pictures and any request for areas you want to see more of. For now I'm going to sit back with the dog and take in the good smells and admire this master piece.

Congrats that you finally got it!! She looks awesome, but then again I wouldn't have expected anything but coming from them Bama boys!

5 more weeks until I pick up mine! AHHH the wait!!

It Looks Great, but it's sitting on the wrong side of the State... come June, Virginia will be balanced. Can you post a pic of the deflector you had added to prevent dripping on the outside the door.

Absolutely. Give me another hour or two. I'm watching the temps rise and fall and how it reacts. The sun should be over head in about an hour so it'll make for more clear photos too.
