Lonestar Grillz offset vs the pittbarell cooker "ribs"
some people will be surprised and some will not , but Rus Jones from smokey ribs does a great job on this video and the LSG offset smoker and the PBC goes head to head on this rib cook. watch and enjoy , I am sure some wont like the outcome

Just looking at them, I think he over cooked the ones on the LSG. Probably the difference.

Having an LSG offset and a PBC myself, the flavor profiles are different on both but I prefer the offset ribs all day long. Not saying the PBC doesn't make killer ribs, it truly does, but offset leaves it behind. Again it's subjective but offset all day long and I love, love, love the PBC.
I agree with Josh too.

so your saying user error that the pbc put out better ribs ? Rus is great at cooking bbq . I will add that the ease of use of the pbc makes it , well easy to use and hard to screw your food up .

I’m thinking a recreation of this test, plus a rack on the Hunsaker, is in order from Sako.
For the record, we prefer ribs off the Lang better than the PBC too. |

I think it’s like this. To the average rib tasting person who is used to liquid smoke baked ribs...these are both off their charts.
But the PBC does give a bit of a grilled taste on top of the smoke flavor, due to the fat drippings. The stickburner gives better pure smoke. Can the average person tell the difference? Doubtful. We are our own harsh critics. |

I'm just saying, that slab of ribs looks overcooked. If flavor is similar, you are probably going to lean toward the better cooked piece of meat. Doesn't matter how good he is, everyone makes mistakes. As far as which one makes better ribs, that is totally subjective. You already have 3 PBC owners saying, the offset makes better ribs.

My opinion. Results went out the window when he put the rub on. It ruined the chance of us seeing what color each produce and masks flavor. Neither looked very good. Both were a fail.
My offset would spank that Puke Barrel. |

^^^^This... The PBC produced a slightly different profile. Depending on the day I may choose one over the other. The be honest I would be happy with either or both.

Stick burner ribs are top. 1st runner up is the Yoder for sure. 2nd runner up PBC. Hunsaker is farking awesome but I rarely do ribs on it since I have my top three picks as I just mentioned.
